According to Cafe Imports, Santa Lucia is produced by Hélcio Carneiro Pinto, who has been working in coffee since he was 15 years old. In 1976, Hélcio married Glycia Pereira Carneiro and began to manage the farm Santa Lucia. 

Since that development at Santa Lucia, Hélcio has passionately worked in the science of coffee, contributing knowledge to both scientists and universities, and he has traveled to several coffee producing countries to grow his knowledge on the production of specialty coffee.

Fazenda Santa Lucia is 740 hectares with 83 hectares of coffee: 9 planted in Yellow Bourbon, 18 in Catuai, 18 in Acaia, and 25 in Mundo Novo. The current production at Santa Lucia is about 2800 bags, of which 1260 are Pulped Natural and 1540 are Natural.
